Calamint 'Elfin Purple' (CALAMINTHA grandiflora 'Elfin Purple)

Mounds about 0.75' tall x 1' wide, tubular purple-pink flowers, quite ornamental leaves. Flowers from the May/June till August/September, with the major peak in June/July.

Full sun to half shade, average to dry soil, with average = medium moisture to dry. Naturally drained soil with tendencies to dry out faster, sandy, gritty, rocky, gravelly soil. Tolerates drier shade (not too deep). It can moderately selfseed when happy.

Hardy in zones 5 to 9. Pollinator friendly,

Native to open woods and rocky slopes from southern Europe to Iran and Caucasus.
